Fire-killed Fir
Fire-killed old growth coastal Douglas-fir trees that succumbed to a forest fire in 2022. The trees were not razed or destructed by the fire; in fact, they perished quickly and remained, bark charred, stoutly standing and released a significant percentage of their moisture in an unusually rapid fashion. In 2025 these standing dead trees were responsibly harvested due to safety issues along forest service roads & trails. We have acquired a decent number of these 27" to 35"+ Ø 26' to 41'+ trees that are available for custom milling and prove to yield excellent material.
